In this page you can find some graphs that monitor the scheduler (star-submit) usage. This is release 1.1.1 of the statistics.

Usage section

Provide information on how much the scheduler is being used.

• User profile: looks at the first and last usage of each user to determine the profile of the active and of total users.
• User table: for each user reports the date of the first and last usage, the number of jobs submitted and the number of submissions. (NB The query is very slow)
• Requests per day: shows the number of requests, that is the number of executions, over time.

Requests and options

• Request options: a series of pies that shows which options are being used and how. (Total, last month)
• Catalog query options: a series of graphs that monitors catalog input in XML requests, and create a sense of what data is most often used.
• Catalog query options normalized by event: a series of graphs that monitors catalog input in XML requests, and create a sense of what data is most often used.

Job and file distribution

Provides information on how the jobs dispatched by the scheduler are distributed over the cluster

• Jobs options: a series of graphs that display the attributes of the job as they are built by the scheduler. (Total, last month)
• Jobs per day: shows the number of jobs dispatched over time.
• Jobs per node: shows the distribution of the jobs submitted by the scheduler over the different nodes of the farm. (Total, last month)
• Jobs per user: shows the distribution of the jobs submitted by the scheduler over the different users. (Total, last month)
• Jobs via the grid: shows the distribution of jobs submitted via the grid by cluster.
• Average Dispatch Time: shows how long it took the scheduler to dispatch a jobs.
